Dr Eunice Aquilina
Eunice is an experienced Somatic Coach, and Leadership & Organisation Development Consultant, who has over 25 years organisational experience working as a Director, a Head of HR and OD Consultant.
Eunice brings a strong and wide ranging combination of business and behavioural knowledge as well as experience to her work in complex commercial environments with multiple perspectives and pressures.
Her experience comes from working across the financial services sector and broadcasting as well as within public sector agencies. In her senior management roles, Eunice contributed to the leadership and people aspects of the business, for example, the creation of a new digital broadcast centre, supporting the development of high potential talent as well as leading key projects that support new business initiatives. At the BBC, she played a lead consultant role in Making it Happen, one the world’s largest Appreciative Inquiries, in which 10,000 staff participated in redesigning the organisation’s culture, workplaces, audience relationships and people policies. As a faculty member of core design team for the BBC’s organisational wide Leadership Programme, Eunice contributed to the design and delivery of the senior leader pathway and led the key work-stream for coaching and mentoring. She was instrumental in the development of an internal coaching model which delivered sustained behavioural change and attitudes across the BBC’s leadership population.
Today, Eunice brings her knowledge combined with her understanding of human dynamics to her work in complex commercial environments. As a coach, she works with executive and senior level business leaders building their capacity take action aligned with what matters to them, their purpose. Eunice supports her clients to learn how to tune into their inner selves and access a deeper wisdom so they can skilfully respond to the challenges as they emerge. As a coach supervisor she works with experienced executive coaches as well as internal coaches, one on one or in groups, supporting them to develop both personally and professionally.
In her consulting work within client organisations, Eunice seeks to work in partnership to co-create learning solutions which support clients to learn from real issues in real time, building new skills and behaviours for sustainable outcomes. Core to her work is her belief that organisations are organic living systems and their conversations shape and determine the culture, which in turn informs the results which can be achieved. As a result, Eunice integrates the somatics, conversations for action with adult learning and complexity thinking. She has supported senior leadership teams to build a strong coherence, enabled organisations to develop a coaching culture, developed leaders ability to lead change and created large group events to support organisation transformation..
Eunice was awarded her doctorate in 2006, her research looked at how coaching supported organisational development. As an experienced coach, Eunice holds the prestigious EMCC European Master Coach Accreditation and is an accredited executive coach supervisor with APECS. She has studied Embodied Presence with Arawana Hayashi, Conscious Embodiment with Wendy Palmer and is a Newfield graduate. She has spent 10 years studying with Strozzi Institute, California which included attending their three-year teacher training programme in Embodied Leadership as well as an intensive body-work programme.
In addition, Eunice has presented at conferences both in the UK and overseas and has written and published articles on coaching. She has just published her first book entitled: ‘Embodying Authenticity: a somatic path to transforming self, team and organisation. Eunice is a Fellow of the CIPD, is licensed to work with a variety of psychometric instruments and is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
