Angela Blacklaw
Angela has many years of experience in personal and organisational development, leadership, change, wellbeing and resilience from entry through to the strategic levels of organisations, mostly in a wide range of public sector organisations. Before launching her own company she held a series of senior positions in the civil service, latterly as the Head of Talent Development at the Department of Health.
Angela’s coaching focuses on an appreciative and integral approach. She believes wholeheartedly that people are the experts on themselves, that usually they don’t need advice or other people’s ideas, that they have within them all the knowledge, skill and ability they need in order to move forward, and what they may need is help to reveal and access those resources consciously. She also facilitates action learning sets and is experienced in a variety of training methodologies including accelerated learning techniques.
Angela is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, holds a Certificate in Organisation Development from the NTL Institute, an MSc in Human Resource Management from South Bank University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Training Management from the University of Wolverhampton.
A contemporary singer, songwriter and producer under her own name, Angela also performs with premier vocal harmony group The Mike King Collective, and teaches songwriting at degree level for the Institute for Contemporary Music Performance.
